Money drives the story
In GTA 6, almost every character Rockstar has introduced is chasing money, legally or not. The story itself kicks off with an easy score that goes wrong for Jason and Lucia, according to the official synopsis.
This guide rounds up the businesses Rockstar has described so far. It doesn't cover game mechanics: how GTA 6's economy works hasn't been detailed yet.
Boobie Ike, from the streets to an empire
Boobie Ike is the big success story of Vice City's underworld. According to Rockstar, he is one of the few to turn his time in the streets into a legitimate empire spanning real estate, a strip club and a recording studio.
One of his official lines sums up the setup: the club money pays for the studio, "and the drug money pay for it all". Boobie is all smiles, until it's time to talk business.
Only Raw Records, betting on music
The Only Raw Records label is the venture Boobie is most invested in. He runs it with Dre'Quan Priest, a former street dealer who always wanted to break into music.
The label has just signed the Real Dimez, Bae-Luxe and Roxy, friends since high school who turned their time shaking down local dealers into cold, hard cash through spicy rap tracks and a relentless social media presence. Five years after an early hit with local rapper DWNPLY, they are hoping lightning can strike twice.
Brian Heder and smuggling in the Keys
Brian Heder has lived off smuggling since the golden age of trafficking in the Keys. He still moves product through his boat yard, with his third wife, Lori.
He also lets Jason live rent-free, as long as he helps with local shakedowns. His operation has its own page in our encyclopedia.
Raul Bautista and the bank jobs
Raul Bautista is a seasoned bank robber, always on the hunt for talent ready to take big risks for the biggest rewards, according to his official profile.
Rockstar also describes him as reckless: he raises the stakes with every score, and sooner or later his crew will have to double down or pull their chips from the table.
Port Gellhorn and Ambrosia, the other economies
Outside Vice City, Rockstar describes two very different economies. In Port Gellhorn, a faded beach resort, a new economy has emerged, fueled by malt liquor, painkillers and energy drinks.
In Ambrosia, in the heart of the state, the Allied Crystal sugar refinery provides the jobs, and the local biker gang almost everything else.
Garages and loot: what the bonuses reveal
The pre-order and Ultimate Edition bonuses offer a concrete hint: two of their garages, Shore Court near Ocean Beach and the Paradise Garage in Watson Bay, feature a weapon locker plus a secure place to deposit stolen goods to be fenced.
So the game will have loot to offload, but Rockstar hasn't explained how fencing will work. The full list of bonuses is in our editions guide.
What we don't know yet
Rockstar hasn't said anything about paid activities, prices or how you will spend your money in GTA 6: properties, businesses and investments are still to be revealed. We will expand this guide as soon as the game is out on November 19, 2026.
