Frequently asked questions

Is GTA 6 Universe an official Rockstar Games website?
No. GTA 6 Universe is an independent fan site, not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. The game’s names, logos and visuals belong to their owners: see the legal notice for details.
Is the site free? Do I need an account?
The site is completely free and works without an account: the map, guides, news and encyclopedia are open to everyone. An account is optional.
What is an account for?
It keeps your progress, notes and map annotations in sync across all your devices. Without an account, they stay saved in your browser; when you sign in, everything you had already ticked is added to your account, with nothing lost. Create an account.
How do I keep track of the secrets I have found?
On the interactive map, open a point’s card and choose “Mark as found”. Your progress updates, and the “Not found only” filter shows just what you still have to discover.
Is the information reliable before the game comes out?
Before GTA 6 is released, some of the data (stats, locations, prices) are examples or estimates, labelled as such, and the map is a provisional outline. The site will be updated from the game itself as soon as it comes out.
Where does the news come from?
It is written from public sources (official Rockstar Games announcements, specialist media, official accounts) and reviewed before publication. Sources are cited with every article, and rumors carry the “Rumor” tag.
Does the site contain spoilers?
Yes, that is what it is about: the map, guides and encyclopedia reveal secrets, locations and sometimes plot points. If you would rather discover everything yourself, wait until you have progressed in the game before reading them.
Is the site available in French?
Yes. The whole site exists in English and French: switch language with the globe button at the top right. Your choice is remembered for your next visits.
What data does the site collect? Are there ads?
The site shows no ads. Audience measurement sets no cookie and can be turned off from the cookie policy. If you create an account, your email address, username and progress are kept for as long as it exists; you can delete it at any time from the My account page. Everything is detailed in the privacy policy.
