GTA 6: Rockstar Wants Lucia to Match Arthur Morgan
A GTA 6 writer says Lucia can stand alongside Arthur Morgan and Niko Bellic, according to Insider Gaming.

According to Insider Gaming, which reports on an interview in the October 5 edition of Love Magazine, Rockstar Games writers believe Lucia Caminos, one of GTA 6's two leads, can go toe-to-toe with Arthur Morgan (Red Dead Redemption 2) and Niko Bellic (GTA IV).
What the writer says
Writer Alexa D'Agostino explains she thought of the women she knows when writing Lucia. Her mother, an immigrant who grew up in Newark, New Jersey, raised her with a mix of bluntness, kindness and a refusal to be pushed around.
She says she related strongly to the character, and that writing her came very naturally. In her view there are as many tough women like Lucia as there are men like Jason, the game's other lead: the team set out to capture that.
A deliberately imperfect character
D'Agostino defends a method: writing a fully realized person with their own wants yields a "perfectly imperfect" character, with clichés but also real credibility. That, she says, is how you get a woman who can rise to the level of Arthur Morgan and Niko Bellic.
A first for the series?
Insider Gaming describes Lucia as the series' first major lead. It notes that playable women appeared in earlier games, but never to the same extent as in this dual-lead pairing with Jason Duval.
