Rockstar Games released the Grand Theft Auto VI launch trailer on October 15, 2026, with no advance warning. According to Rockstar Intel, the video runs about 90 seconds and went out across all of the studio's social channels at 2 p.m. BST.

It lands just over a month before the game's November 19, 2026 release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Rockstar Intel reports that the date was reiterated in the video.

What the trailer shows

Per GamerGen, the video opens with Jason Duval narrating. He mentions past trouble in the army that left him without a pension, and his job working for Bryan at a marina in the Vice City Keys. One scene also shows him taking a call from Lucia Caminos in a detention center.

The rest is an action-packed montage of colorful characters and moments between Jason and Lucia, again according to GamerGen. Rockstar Intel adds that the footage was captured entirely in-game on a standard PlayStation 5, not a PS5 Pro.

A new Justice single

The trailer is set to "Flower in a Hurricane," a new Justice single featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Rockstar Mag' says it will appear on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the game's official soundtrack.

Rockstar also published a fresh synopsis placing Jason and Lucia in the middle of a criminal conspiracy that stretches across the state of Leonida. A new image, a Brian Heder floatplane flying over the Grassrivers at sunset, was released too, per Rockstar Intel.

What we still don't know

Outlets are calling it the last video before launch, but Rockstar has not confirmed that. Meanwhile, explore the places mentioned on our interactive map of Leonida and follow GTA 6 Universe on X for what comes next.
