GTA 6: Miami Heat Become Vice City on Nov 18, Eve of Launch

The Miami Heat will play as Vice City on November 18, the night before GTA 6 launches. According to GTA Boom, the NBA team hosts the Milwaukee Bucks at the Kaseya Center at 7 p.m. Eastern, broadcast nationally on ESPN and locally on Local 10, in partnership with Rockstar Games.

A promo video built around the line "Bright lights. Vice City" dropped over the weekend. It says the Heat are swapping Miami for Vice City for a single night, with neon and palm trees everywhere. Per the official announcement relayed by GTA Boom, the club promises a never-seen court, a new uniform and extra in-arena activations. A dedicated page, HEAT.com/ViceCity, collects the details, and further reveals are due in the coming weeks.

In the team store, a surprise "Vice City Collection" went on sale, Rockstar Intel reports: tees, hats and more. Several sizes sold out within minutes. Shipping is quoted at five to six weeks, and the collection should also be available at the arena on game night.

Context helps here. GTA Boom notes the Heat have leaned into a "Vice" identity since 2017, and that this floor would be the fourth of its kind in club history. The arena reportedly also appears in GTA 6 as the Sahara Arena. Across Miami, Rockstar and Miami-Dade County are putting up large signs downtown, a mural is being painted and shops are hanging posters.

GTA Boom also points out that the game would be Giannis Antetokounmpo's first against the Bucks since he joined Miami. Expect a lot of eyes on this one.

What we don't know yet: what the court and uniform will actually look like, and which activations will fill the arena. The Heat say more reveals are coming. Will the broadcast include more nods to the game?
